Market Day!: An early start brings us to the Old and Used Book Market. It is a treasure trove of printed material of all shapes and sizes. (You might grab an amazing croissant from our favorite bakery just across the road.) Next, spend the remainder of the morning exploring the Puces de Vanves Flea Market. There, vintage jewelry, paper, linen, and other goodies await your discovery. After lunch we’ll return to the hotel “studio” for an art journal workshop class with Tammy. Lastly, our welcome dinner celebrates the tastes of French culinary tradition.
Musée d’Orsay: Spend the morning with the works of Monet, Renoir, Degas and more. Stroll through the Musee D’Orsay and its collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist greats. Afterward, join the Parisians for a stroll through the Tuileries Garden. Then lunch in the stunning tea room at Angelina’s. Next, we will visit one or two boutique art supply stores as well as pass through the Louvre courtyard with its famous glass pyramid. Finally, Tammy will show you how to bring it all together in another art journal workshop class.
Montmartre: Tammy will lead you to her favorite places in this long-ago artist enclave. Follow winding streets to Sacre Coeur and Place du Tetre. You’ll find inspiration at the Musée Montmartre and the serene Renoir garden. Afterwards, refresh with a light lunch and a sip of wine (just like the Impressionists did!). Then we’ll pay a visit to a stunning fabric market and an eclectic antique store. Another art journal workshop class awaits upon your return to the hotel. In the evening we will reconvene for a Seine River Cruise to see the city at night
Bastille: In the morning, discover La Coulée Verte. Spend time strolling, sketching, writing or just enjoying the view on this elevated walkway overlooking the rooftops of Paris. Afterward we will visit the Bastille Market to shop an array of fresh produce and prepared food for picnic supplies. From there it is a short walk to the lawn of Place des Vosges. There you may enjoy the bounty found at the market with a picnic lunch followed by an art class.

Marais: In the morning, discover the fascinating history of Paris in the newly renovated Musée Carnavalet. There, Tammy will lead a fun, onsite class in this beautiful space. After lunch we will visit a family-owned art supply store with a long and fascinating history. Next, the cobbled courtyards and serene spaces of the Village of St. Paul is a perfect respite from the bustling Marais neighborhood. Home to boutique designers, antique dealers, and galleries, the village is a beautiful space to leisurely shop, sketch, write, or enjoy a apéro.
Eiffel Tower: Our art journal workshop in Paris begins the day with a convivial sketching session with a view of the Eiffel Tower. Your afternoon is free to visit the tower or explore the many other sites of Paris. In the afternoon Tammy will guide you through your last class together. Lastly, celebrate a week of discovery and memory-making with a festive apéro and farewell dinner.
Departures: After a delicious breakfast, we bid farewell to our art journal workshop friends until the next time. No formal activities are planned for this day. You may depart whenever best suits your schedule.
