Amsterdam moves at the pace of its canals — unhurried, reflective, with golden-age facades doubling in the water below. Our Dutch program is a semi-annual, six-night journey based in Amsterdam, with day trips to Haarlem and Utrecht. Programs span sketchbook, painting, and mixed media, inspiring the travel journal you'll build along the way. Art workshops in the Netherlands move between canal-side neighborhoods, flower fields, and market stalls, with a sketchbook always close at hand.
Amsterdam
Days move between the Van Gogh Museum and the market stalls of Albert Cuyp, the historic pull of Dam Square and the quieter charm of Postzegelmarkt, the city's Wednesday stamp market, tucked among vintage postcards and old posters. In the Jordaan, mornings often end with a slice of apple pie at a favorite café, the kind of stop that becomes a ritual by the second visit. An evening sunset cruise along the canals is a highlight of the week, and the trip closes with a journal show and share, everyone's week of work laid out together before a final dinner.
Haarlem & Utrecht
A day trip brings the group to Keukenhof's tulip fields in bloom, then on to Haarlem, a smaller city of quiet streets and a market square built for wandering. Another day reaches Utrecht by train, its wharf cellars turned into cafés along the canal, the Dom Tower rising above the rooftops.
