Private Private & Semi-Private Tours
Not every Blue Walk experience is on our public calendar. Some of our most extraordinary destinations (the Amalfi Coast, the Sorrento Peninsula, and the Dolomites) are only available as private group tours. And for guests who want to travel with their own group of friends, family, or creative community, we adapt our existing art workshop vacations and walking tours for private and semi-private groups, shaped around your dates, your pace, and your interests.

Private Walking Tours
A private walking tour draws from our existing walking routes — coastal paths, historic village routes, and the walking trails that have shaped Blue Walk trips for over a decade — adapted to your group's pace and preferred dates. This is the option for travelers who want to explore a destination on foot without an art component built in.
Private Art Vacations
A private art vacation follows the format of one of our existing programs, adjusted to fit your group's dates and size. If you have a specific artist-teacher in mind, we'll do what we can to make that work, depending on availability and fit. If you're not sure yet, tell us the kind of experience you're picturing and we'll match you with the right teacher for it.
Semi-Private Tours
Traveling as a smaller group of four to eight? A semi-private tour lets you keep your preferred destination, dates, and artist-teacher if desired, while we fill the remaining spots from our list of guests interested in that same program. You'll likely be joined by a few travelers outside your original group, chosen the same way any Blue Walk group comes together. Final pricing depends on how the group fills, and we'll walk you through what that looks like for your specific dates before you commit.
Private-Only Destinations
These regions are only available as private group experiences. In some cases, like the Amalfi Coast, the terrain is steep — more hiking than walking — so we offer it only as a private or semi-private experience. Others are limited by seasonality or accessibility rather than terrain. Either way, these are settings worth the extra planning.
The Amalfi Coast & Sorrento Peninsula
The dramatic coastline south of Naples offers terraced villages, lemon groves, and light that shifts by the hour. Programs can be based in Sorrento, with day trips to Pompeii and Capri, or in Minori, with easy access to Amalfi, Positano, and Ravello. Walking routes include the celebrated Path of the Gods and the trails of the Sorrento Peninsula.
The Dolomites
Launching in 2027 as a private walking vacation, based in Ortisei in Val Gardena, with walking across Alpe di Siusi, Seceda, Passo Gardena, and Val di Funes. Alpine light, dramatic peaks, and meadow trails that shift with the seasons. We anticipate offering an art workshop version semi-annually in the years ahead.
How It Works
Tell us what you're picturing: the destination, the season, your group size, and whether you're drawn to a walking trip or an art program. Private and semi-private tours generally need to be settled a year or two in advance to secure teachers, hotels, and dates that work for everyone. We'll match you to the itinerary that fits best and confirm your artist-teacher where applicable. Small additions — a cooking class, a private dinner — are sometimes possible once the itinerary is set, though our programs are built to stand on their own.
