Ohn Mar Win is a celebrated UK-based watercolorist known for her loose, luminous style. She paints people, places, and the particular light of wherever she happens to be standing.

Overview

Join us for a twelve-night island-hopping journey across Greece with teaching artist Ohn Mar Win. Spend three nights on Santorini’s caldera, three on the green, unhurried island of Naxos, five on the little-known island of Amorgos, and a final night in Athens. Ferries carry the group between islands, with buses and private transfers to and from daily destinations. Most days open with a walk before class — along a caldera path, through a village square, or on a countryside lane.

Ohn Mar teaches with what she calls beginner’s eyes, encouraging loose, spontaneous work over anything polished or precise. A page that doesn’t turn out the way you hoped is still a page worth keeping. Evenings are yours to enjoy: a swim, a wander, or a seaside happy hour with sketchbooks and fellow travelers. By the end of the trip, your sketchbook holds the whole of Greece in watercolor and ink.

The Creative Experience

This is a watercolor sketchbook program, worked partly on-site and partly back at the hotel, a terrace or shaded common area where sea breezes and island light become part of the process. Sessions run about 2 to 3 hours across the day, with informal drawing time throughout the week. By the end, your sketchbook holds a layered record of the islands in color, texture, and story.
